Yes, Gov. Jerry Brown informed the media back in March of last year that California’s drought had officially ended. He also advised that residents there should still continue to conserve water for possible dry summer conditions ahead. Last winter’s rain and snow helped to boost up the water supply in state and local areas. The area in Orange County Water District had reportedly seen 17.36 inches of rain since July 2010.
We got lots of rain last year in early 2011, but this year is dry. I live in California and last year I did not have to water my winter garden because it rained every other day. This year, I have to water it. So, I wouldn’t be surprised if they declared another drought soon.
