Is burning hay bad for the environment? why?

    Well, burning anything is not good for the environment. Smoke always releases pollutants into the air that can cause respiratory problems in humans as well as animals. However, there isn’t anything in hay that is particularly harmful. It is very flammable though. Also, if you’re referring to the slash and burn technique of way hay is burned, it causes the ground to be replenished and new life and vegetation to grow, so it that case, burning hay under a controlled environment is beneficial.
