Is Brazil changing its policies to protect the rainforests as its economy grows?

Brasil’s environmental protection agency or Ibama tries to protect the rainforests, but there is a huge amount of money from all over the world working against them. Ibama has trained law enforcement out in the jungle doing rainforest protection as a camouflaged unit. There are continually more and more groups in the Amazon, the world’s largest jungle, stealing plants and animals, along with developers at the edges just knocking out acres of forest. As Brasil’s economy grows there is a great balance that must be kept to protect those industries that need the rainforest, and those industries that live off its destruction.
