I would say that it is. Traditional fertilizers(chemical) will end up in your body through the crops that they are grown with. They also leach nutrients from the soil. The more chemical fertilizer is used, the more your soil will become dependant on it because of this. Although it is messy, organic fertilizers enrich your soil, while helping your plants grow.
Because it does not use fossil fuels, biochar does ultimately help the environment. This benefits everyone in the long run. Besides many other benefits, such as reduced emissions and increased plant growth, everyone wins!
