National Geographic has a “Big Cats Initiviate” that supports the conservation of these animals. You can join their website, and they will send you information on how to help the cause (donate), and current conservation projects. http://donate.nationalgeographic.org/Page.aspx?pid=986&gclid=CM_Olf-z36ICFRNubAodWk5vyA
Earthwatch.org has a really interesting opportunity to go on an expedition to Namibia to help endangered cheetahs. On the expedition, you would help the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF) with daily duties including research, conservation, and education programs. The expedition lasts 15-22 days and you can go in July, August, September, or November. Here is their website that has more information about the expedition: http://www.earthwatch.org/exped/marker.html?gclid=CJaZusm036ICFRX_iAodNk0Yvg
Hope this helps!
The World Wildlife Fund just launched “Texting for Tigers”. By texting TIGERS to 20222, you can send a $10 donation to help WWF save the tiger.
You can check out the nation’s zoos and find those that have programs specifically targeted at large-cat species’ survival. They will be able to tell you what kind of aciton you can take and, there is always a donation that can be made. See the “How You Can Help” link at the following website:
