Bald eagles were endangered only a few decades ago and almost became extinct due to DDT poisoning, but thanks to conservation laws they have now repopulated North America and have been removed from the Endangered Species Act. They do however still face threats of habitat loss as well as pollutants like mercury and heavy metals.
Bald eagles were endangered due to DDT poisoning and poaching but now their population is improved. They are now threatened and hopefully they will eventually be stable.
