The average male elephant is 10.5 feet tall at the shoulder (that is how they are measured, to the shoulder) and about 15,000 pounds. Depending on how you want to look at it, they weigh about 1,429 pounds per foot in height (to the shoulder) or have about 3,750 pounds of weight on each foot, if they balance their weight evenly between all four feet.
