Is the atomic bomb the worst thing that has ever happened to our environment?

Not really if your talking about direct damage from blaqst size. Hydrogen bombs are considerably stronger than the orginal nuclear bombs that were dropped on Japan during WWII, and would cause more immediate damage. If you are talking about long term nuclear radiation damage then you might be correct, but a hydrogen bomb has never been dropped in real life so we do not know what type of long term damage it could cause.

(other things are also considered worse for the environment just becuase of their widespread use, for example, airplanes because they cause so much pollution on a dialy level could be considered worse for the environment).
