Assuming the Chevy Volt doesn’t become popular, what else could revive GM?

At this point, it’s tough to say. They’ve gotten stimulus money from the government, and the cash for clunkers program was supposed to stimulate domestic car purchase. As it is, the cash for clunkers program resulted in more people going and buy cars from Japanese companies such as Toyota and Honda. GM is a little late to the fuel-efficient game, so they’d have to make a pretty big splash to make up for lost ground.
