Yes and no – ash can be great for plants, but not if it comes from chemically-treated wood. The ash may add potassium to your soil, which can be very beneficial for growth. However, it may also contain heavy metals that you don’t want mixing in your garden. To be safe, using ash is OK in small amounts, but large amounts should almost always be avoided.
