Are the wind turbines in the ocean any different than the ones on land?

I don’t think they are. The differences I’ve found tend to be in what they collect. Offshore turbines have more wind power because wind is gliding over the smooth surface of the water instead of over land terrain, (which slows it down).
The other difference is that installation is much easier in water. However, engineers are currently designing a possible floating wind turbine. That has yet to be completed.
