Yes, wild animals are negatively effected by smog, just like humans. These effects can include a decrease in lung functionality, such as decreased capacity leading to breathing problems. Smog also can cause the lungs to reduce the ability to fight disease which can age lungs prematurely. Smog is terrible no matter who/ what is inhaling it.
