Are we using tidal power yet in America?

Tidal power can only be harnessed into electricity when the difference between high tides and low tides are at least 5 meters or more than 16 feet.  Only 40 sites on Earth have favorable tidal ranges to generate tidal power.  Currently, there are no tidal power areas in America, but the Pacific Northwest and Atlantic Northeast have good conditions to create tidal power.  Tidal power technologies include barrage / dam, tidal fence, and tidal turbine.
