Are we using less energy during winter because of climate change?

Unlikely. Global warming has only raised the average temperature by about a degree Celsius so far, which is barely, if at all, perceptible. Much more important is regular weather variation, which can impact the amount of energy we use in the winter. Global warming is not too much of a concern as far as our own comfort in the temperature: its effects on the sea level, extreme weather, and other species are far more pressing issues.
