At the Copenhagen talks in December, the US secretary of energy Steven Chu announced that the Obama administration has pledged $350 mil (USD) for the development of renewable energy. The fund will be used for development of wind, solar, or other alternative energy projects, and use of more energy efficient electronics/appliances in developing countries. They said that they want this to be like the green revolution for agriculture, sharing technology along with the financial support.
