Are we currently eating more than we can produce?

    If by “we” you mean the United States, probably not. The US has the potential to produce vast amounts of food; just because most of it is currently used to produce corn and beef doesn’t mean we couldn’t allocate it for other crops. Below is a 2007 article which states that the US produces twice as much food as needed for its population.
