Are we capturing the methane from cows at all?

Argentinian scientists have developed balloon-like “methane capturing backpacks” for cows. A single 550-kg cow produces between 800-1,000 liters of methane emissions each day. There is nothing that says whether or not these backpacks will be marketed to the public. It is also of question what the scientists do with the trapped methane once removing the pack from the cows.
