Are water bottles BPA free?

The water bottles you use for refilling, like your nalgene, are made to be BPA free. The water bottles you buy at the store that say “do not refill” mean it. They are for one time use. Check the rating on the bottle when you buy 2, 4, and 5 are fine, but any other bottle will leach BPA. Rule of thumb: don’t drink it if you taste plastic.
