    No, striped bass is only native to the East Coast, from the St. Lawrence River to Northern Florida, as well as the Gulf of Mexico. If you see it elsewhere, it’s probably been introduced or escaped from a fish farm.

    No, striped bass cannot be found in all oceans of the world. They can be found in the surf, bars inshore, tide rips, reefs, estuaries, and bays. They are native to the east coast of the United States, found from the St. Lawrence River in Canada down to Northern Florida. Striped bass can also be found in parts of the Gulf of Mexico.
