Yes, apparently one type of rock can float due to the tiny air bubbles within it. The surface of the rock is rough, yet the inside works like tiny balloons, trapping air so it can float. These rocks first began as hot lava erupting from a volcano. The rock cooled so quicklythe gases which filled it didn’t have time to escape. The gases were trapped in bubbles inside the rock, which now make the rock float.
