Are there recyclers in US that recycle more plastic types than #1 and #2?

Most municipalities in US will only accept #1 and #2 plastics in their recycling streams. That is two plastics out of the 50 that are commonly used. Even for families committed to recycling, this leaves a lot of plastic that ends up in the trash. We need urgently to identify recycling streams for #5(polypropylene) from which an increasing amount of food packaging appears to be made.

The Stanford Recycling Center will accept plastics 3-7, with the exception of 6.  However, they will only take these plastics if they are in bottle form.  While there is technology now to recycle these plastics, most centers simply do not have them in place quite yet.  Hope this helps!
