Solar panels are generally not made of large individual mirrors, but instead of smaller mirrors set side by side. I believe there are several reasons for this, but the two most practical ones are that smaller mirrors are easier to replace in the event that a portion of the panel is damaged, and also because multiple mirrors catch sunlight from various angles, storing more heat rays as energy than with a single sheet.
