There are websites that have pictures of animals and information on that animal floating about the web. The BBC also has an online zoo with “exhibits,” featuring 370 animals and videos/still pictures/information on their behavior.
As well as the BBC’s “online zoo”, the San Diego Zoo and SeaWorld/Busch Gardens both offer “virtual field trips” to their respective zoos.
I think a virtual zoo would take the fun out of actually seeing the animals in person. You can’t take pictures, enjoy the scenery, or feel like you’re a part of their habitat online. Just my opinion.
