Marine mammals that roam constantly (dolphins, whales, great white sharks, etc.) don’t do well in confined spaces. They need much larger spaces in order to be happy. Unfortunately, many places don’t offer the amount of space the animals require, and so they don’t do as well as smaller fish species that create homes for themselves and don’t travel much. Some species, like dolphins and seals, don’t breed well in captivity.
