Are there natural resources used in building homes?

Yes. Most materials are derived from natural resources. This includes lumber for the frame, steel and other metal of wiring, joints, ventilation, and gypsum for the wallboards and concrete. Piping for plumbing can be either polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or copper. Plastic is of course a petroleum product and copper is a mineral.
