Nissan leafs are having more success saleswise. As of Nov. 1st, Volt sales were at 4000 since its debut earlier this year. As of early October almost 15000 Nissan leafs had been sold since its release in Japan in December 2010.
The Leaf is having more success than the Volt. For one, it is more affordable. Nissan was also very smart is their planning of the arrival of this car; in 2010 they took 20,000 preorders for the 2011 Leaf, whereas Chevy didn’t take any. People also like the idea of a fully electric car – which only the Leaf is.
