Yellowstone National Park is home to more bears than Yosemite.  It is a much bigger park.  Yellowstone is proud to be home to Black bears as well as Grizzly bears.   Yosemite is home to Black bears.  There are no Grizzly bears in California.

No, Yellowstone has a larger population of both black and grizzly bears. As of this year, there is an estimated 603 grizzly bears wandering through Yellowstone National Park. This slightly eclipses the number of black bears in the same area. Their population fluctuates between 500-600 bears. In Yosemite, 300-500 black bears make the park their home.
