The Amazon Rainforest is considered to be the most species-rich of any rainforest in the world.  The Amazon consists of more than half of the world’s remaining rainforest land, and because of that large tract of land, acts as home to 1 of every 10 known species in the world.  It is the largest collection of living plant and animal species in the world.
