The one hump camel, or Dromedary, appears to be more common than the two hump camel, or Bactrian. One hump camels are found in Africa and the Middle East, while the two hump camel is native to the Gobi Desert in Mongolia. The rarity of the two hump camel, as well as it’s calmer demeanor, means that it fetches a higher price at market than it’s one humped cousin.
