The endangered species list is constantly under revisions and animals are always being taken off or put back on the list. For example, in 2007 bald eagles were taken off the endangered species list (http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/06/070628101017.htm). The wolf has been taken off and put back on the list multiple times. Most recently, it has been dropped from the list again (http://www.scientificamerican.com/blog/60-second-science/post.cfm?id=wolves-dropped-from-endangered-spec-2009-05-08).
