Are there golden eagles in America?

    Yes. The golden eagle (aquilla chryseatos–Latin for eagle of gold) is still fairly widespread in North America, particularly west of the Rockies.

    The greatest concentration of golden eagles in America can be found in southern and southwestern Wyoming. Other high concentrations can be found in the rest of Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, and Oregon.
