Are there seeds that don’t produce plants?

Well, first of all, many seeds don’t grow up to be plants the same way not all the eggs a fish lays grow up to maturity. That’s why plants tend to produce so many seeds. Some seeds are also infertile. Even if planted in perfect conditions, they won’t grow. The few seeds you get in seedless watermelons, for example, are genetically modified to be infertile and will not produce plants.
