Not particularly, anthropogenic global warming is caused by the release of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere; the gases, primarily CO2, Water Vapor, Methane.. etc. – have high thermal capacity and retain solar energy that would normally be redirected back into space. There are non anthropogenic sources of these gases, such as volcano’s, swamps, decomposition of organic matter, and the greenhouse gases do play an important role in allowing our planet to sustain life – however increasing their presence in the atmosphere to too large of a degree is resulting in continued temperature rise.
