Are there bigger waves in the pacific ocean than any other ocean?

Although it is something of a truism that the largest waves are located in the Pacific ocean around Hawaii and the pacific islands, this is actually not the case.  The largest recorded waves (not including special events like tsunamis) actually occur in the Gulf of Mexico during hurricaine season.  In 2004, during hurricaine Ivan, scientific instruments in the gulf regularly recorded waves in excess of 90 feet.
