Are there any worms that eat plants?

    Hornworms have been known as garden pests that feed off tomato plants, possibly killing them.

    There are many kinds of insect larvae that are referred to as worms. The cabbage worm and the corn earworm are two examples. These are not acutally worms, but caterpillars, or larvae that later transform into butterflies or moths.
