No. BUT, they are currently developing technology that would use wifi signals to “beam” electricity around a room. You would never have to plug in anything ever again. The wifi signals could be turned on and off using a switch(es). The following link is a column published in the Boston Globe, which explores the new technology.
There is a Dell computer that has wireless charging. The computer is placed on top of a charging station that charges it. The same technology that created those charging stations where you just drop your cell phone or ipod on it and it charges.
