The largest water table in America, known as the Ogallala Aquifer, is running dry. Located in the Great Plains area of the United States, this water source is used for irrigation of crops as well as drinking water for residents. In the past decade, the water table has decreased by 25 feet. Since 2006, farmers and towns have looked into purchasing water from other sources.
