Are there any water pollution problems in Japan?

Some radiation problems in the water system have stemmed from this year’s earthquake in Japan. Radiation from the Fukushima Plant in Japan (which was severely damaged by the earthquake) has leaked into the water causing water problems.  Additionally Japan’s progressing economy has put demand on chemical companies which has resulted in more disposing of chemical waste which has leaked into water supplies.
