Taro root is a vegetable that needs to be cooked because it is toxic when eaten raw. Its skin also has to be peeled off before cooking. Bitter types of cassava also need to be boiled or at least have pieces soaked in water for a long time before eating it because they can contain toxic amounts of hydrocyanic acid.
yes there is some vegetables that need to be cooked b4 eaten!!!!!!
Cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, kale, mustard greens, radishes, rutabagas, and turnips, should all be cooked. Eating raw cruciferous vegetables actually suppresses your thyroid’s hormone production, creating fatigue, coldness in your body and a slowing of your metabolism. I have heard of alternatives to cooking them, such as fermenting them to solve the problem. Some people claim that if you consume another food high in fat while you eat cruciferous vegetable you won’t notice the negative effects.
