    Many states – such as Connecticut, Maine and Colorado – either have in place or are developing plans for reducing GHG emissions in cost-effective manners specific to the state.  For example, Maine has a “Lead By Example” initiative to inventory greenhouse gas emissions from state facilities.  For a state by state breakdown of climate action plans, refer to: http://www.pewclimate.org/what_s_being_done/in_the_states/action_plan_map.cfm
