There are indeed solar panels that track the sun from sunrise to sunset. You can buy these when you buy your solar panels. There two types of solar trackers: one-axis trackers that stay the same vertical angle but rotate to follow the sun and dual-axis trackers that also adjust the vertical angle.
However, otherpower.com warns against these trackers. First, the trackers can malfunction. Also, they tend to allow more power absorption in the summer when the need is lowest, and they are expensive. Instead, they recommend MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) controllers, which are programmed with an algorithm that is able to extract maximum power from the solar panel.
