Are there any rocks inside of glaciers?

Yes, there often are.  These can range from small rocks to huge boulders, as ice covered mountains like the Ford Ranges 10,000 years ago.  The rocks are being used to understand the history of the glaciers, like its age and how recently the ice sheet has thinned.  These rocks and dirt and other debris are mostly uncovered as glaciers retreat, leaving a path in their wake that scientists can study to better understand the effects of past and present climate on the glaciers.
