If you look at the map below, you can see that we get temperate rainforests along the west coast from Washington to California and in another strip in southeast along the southern Appalachians (North Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee). We too far north to have any tropical rainforests like the ones along the equator, which are a little wetter and much hotter.
