Are there any plants in the ocean that will absorb the oil?

I don’t think there are plants IN the ocean that can absorb oil. However, hydroweed, an organic substance made from a certain type of peat moss, can absorb oil and other hydrocarbons. Hydroweed is ideal as a product to clean up environmental spills because it rejects water. Many companies use it to clean up oil spills.
