Southeast Asia suffers from droughts. The worst drought in India affected 15% of the population (which amounts to about 130 million people). Drought and deforestation have teamed up in the past to cause massive forest fires in New Guinea, Sumatra, and Borneo (located in the Philippines, which is also a part of southeast Asia).
