Yes, there are many but one of the most well-known is probably the tapeworm. Their reproductive cycle is spent solely in humans, and their eggs get shed in human feces, capable of surviving many months outside of the human body. The tapeworms themselves can stay in the intestinal tract for as long as 30 years. They can get passed to people who consume raw or undercooked beef or pork, so it’s always a good idea to make sure your meat is cooked through before consumption.
