Are there any non-profits that campaign for the rights of indigenous peoples? How do they do this without imposing on their traditional lifestyles?

Yes lots of them do. Though I do not know of any non-profit that specifically campaigns for indigenous peoples. There is Amnesty International who fights for the rights of a plethora of individuals all over the world. Even in places that are not that friendly (hostile) or not the civilized (third world). They do not impose because this is a large part of their mission, to make sure no one does impose. They take a humbled approach and do not go in trying to change things, simply trying to observe; also their operations are usually very small – people and personnel – as not to intimidate or cause tension.
