There are many natural / home remedies used for pneumonia. Here are a few suggestions. Every two hours for 5 – 7 days drink a 50 / 50 ratio of fruit or veggie juice and warm water. Avoid caffeine, meats, alcohol, and any product with white flour or white sugar as these products are hard to digest. For alleviation of coughing attacks try lukewarm water with lemon juice and a pinch of rock salt.
