Are there any mathematical models that can assist with conservation (i.e. save the world)?

Sustainability is in essence a mathematical equation: don’t use more than can be renewed or added back into the environment. When you use resources faster than they are replenished, eventually you won’t have access to them at all–simple math. The Business Xpansion Journal proposes a more traditional equation: S = B + ESP + EM + EEP + RE + CE. “S” is sustainability, “B” is behaviors, “ESP” are environmentally safe products, “EM” is energy management, “EEP” are energy efficiency products, “RE” is renewable energy, and “CE” stands for cost efficiency.
