Are there any materials for solar cells that are capturing 100% of the light?

Unfortunately there are no materials in solar cells that capture 100% of the light being emmited by the sun.  In fact there may be no material on earth that has the ability to capture 100% of the light and have the ability for it to be transfered into energy.  However, as technology improves, so does the efficiency of solar cells.  Their efficiency has increased dramatically over the past several years and they now have a 41.4% efficiency.  Scientists also believe that their efficiency can improve to 80%, but the likelihood of them being commercially available at that efficiency is not very high in the near future as the costs of doing that would be extremely high.
